With more than a decade of experience in some of Athens’ leading restaurants and wine bars — from fine‑dining establishments to Michelin‑distinguished kitchens — Sofia Tsikou has developed a deep and intuitive relationship with wine and hospitality. Over the past seven years, she has dedicated herself to continuous sommelier education, earning certifications in wine marketing and specializing in the creation of wine lists for restaurants and hotels.
She also works as a private sommelier for high‑end clients, undertaking the design and organization of personal wine cellars and curating collections tailored to each client’s taste, needs, and level of knowledge.
Sofia has collaborated with numerous hospitality venues, offering staff training, wine program development, and consulting on how to elevate the guest experience through thoughtful wine curation.
At Sto Kelari, the tasting space she has created, the visitor experience is shaped by interaction, personalized guidance, and immersive storytelling around wine. Every tasting is a curated journey informed by her expertise, aesthetic sensibility, and personal approach.
Her studies in sports journalism and her long‑term involvement in theatre enhance her presence as a presenter and storyteller, giving her confidence on camera and the ability to transform technical knowledge into engaging, accessible narrative.
As the creator of the digital and television show STO KELARI, she blends professional expertise with storytelling, presenting wine through a contemporary, human, and aesthetically refined lens. The space also serves as the show’s studio, hosting professionals, creators, and wine lovers who share a passion for Greek wine and its culture.
